Amazon Reviewer –
Kind of expensive, but quite useful with one-ish caveat
This review is for the “Tecmojo 12U Network Rack, 10 inch Mini Server Rack with 2 Side Translucent Panels & 2 Top Handles, 10.23 inch Deep, for 10 inch IT Equipment & A/V Devices, White.”This brand makes some interresting budget rack mount towers. They aren’t perfect, but do the job and can be modified to suit my needs, so overall I’m satisfied with their products. This particular “mini” tower rack was easy to assemble. All parts fit well (had an issue with their smaller one I’m covering in a different review). I figured out to not tighten screws, but just have them almost snug till the top acrylic plate was properely bolted down. Then I tightened everything down well. There are lots of hardware to help mount your projects and data products.Tower stands even after assembly. Trays are strong enough to hold just about anything including multiple bay servers. It includes back plates to help hold the back of these trays which for me is a nice touch. I can also install fans on the top and bottom if necessary. The off-white appearance is nice. I’m not super fond of the acrylic sides and top, but it’s cheaper than glass, cheaper to transport with less weight, and not as easy to break by accident. So I’m personally ok with it. Besides, it cuts down on the final weight after all the gear is installed. My caveat is that they included a rack for Raspberry Pi, etc. devices crowded with holes but no way to properely install the two HDMI adapter cards included. I’ll be reaching out for clarification because the assembly manual is not effective, and honestly lacking as it sort of shows those boards, but not how to install them. Also, this particular model comes with two metal bottom plates ment to be installed together, but the assembly manual shows only one.Apart from my caveat, it’s a great mini rack tower. Worthy of recommendation in spite of the price. Well worth it. Great way to organize data products.
