Great value
Pros:- Solid metal. Not cheap thin aluminum or plastic. This can hold decent weight.- Comes with two shelves. More value.- 6U is just perfect. 4U would be not enough.- Assembly was simple in my opinion. 10 minutes.- Price. This is significantly a better deal than other options.Cons:- Paint in the screw hole threads may cause you some headaches. I found that lubing the area helps.- There is no way to turn it sideways and use it as a 7″ rack. There are no holes on the sides and the panels are not removeable.

Nice little accessory rack.
I have large main 19 inch rack in my basement but needed a way to better organize the equipment in my garage. Didn’t want a full sized rack taking up space. This worked great, only minor thing is my 8 port unifi switch doesn’t quite fit in the rack, but it fits perfectly between the handles on top so no biggie. Not super concerned about the loss of airflow since it’s a open rack and nothing inside it generates a ton of heat.

It is GREAT!
I really, REALLY, enjoy this! I seriously wish I purchased the next unit larger (9U) if not the largest (12U).I have been adding hardware to the rack, 3d printing plates/shelves.Absolutely enjoying this rack to keep my projects tidy!A bit of advice. Perhaps think about purchasing one unit larger than you might need. Even if you have everything well planned out as far as the equipment going inside, I did not fully account for the amount of cabling that would need to be inside such a unit, which will prevent airflow.

Solid Mini Server Rack That’s Perfect for Home Labs
===Overview===Mini server racks have become pretty popular, and after using this one, I can see why. It’s a 6U rack that’s 10 inches wide, which makes it perfect for mini PCs, Raspberry Pis, or even small form factor machines like Dell minis. I set up a cluster of mini PCs in it along with my network switch, and it really helped organize everything. The rack comes with two shelves and all the mounting hardware you need, so getting started was straightforward. The construction is solid with durable metal and no cheap-feeling pieces. It’s an open-frame design that allows for good airflow, but it also includes translucent side panels that offer a bit of dust protection while giving the rack a sleek, modern look. You can even add lighting to show off your setup and customize it to your taste. For a home lab, it strikes a nice balance between functionality and style. It feels sturdy, well-built, and versatile enough to handle different gear, making it a great addition for anyone looking to organize and showcase their home lab hardware.===Pro/Cons===Pros:• Perfect size for mini PCs, Raspberry Pis, and small form factor machines• Includes two shelves and full mounting hardware• Solid metal construction feels durable• Open-frame design allows airflow• Translucent side panels add dust protection and customization options• Great for organizing home labsCons:• Limited to smaller gear due to 10-inch width• Open-frame still lets in some dust compared to enclosed racks

Don’t buy
The fit was not great, and they painted the unit after drilling the screw holes. So it was very hard to attach the shelves and it appears as it got damaged and is not sturdy now.

Nice accessories including raspberry pi mount
I recently set up a 19″ server for my home lab and networking equipment. However, I couldn’t host my wireless gear in it for fear of signal loss with the metal sides. Though smaller, this 10″ rack with plexiglass sides and open front and back doesn’t kill the wireless signals, while providing similar organization to my larger metal racks, providing a clean look and more compact size requirements.I wasn’t even aware 10″ racks existed until fairly recently and planned on 3d printing one, which is feasible. However, I opted on this rack instead, which is well built and provides greater stability than what I could 3d print for the rack. I still intend to add some 3d printed custom shelving but I prefer the looks and functionality of the metal frame of this rack over what I could print. For the design, the primary frame is metal, with plexiglass sides and top. The front and back are completely open, with handles on the top for portability. I’m still building the rack out but my intention is to have it fully self-contained, requiring only a power and Ethernet connection coming in, then having a switch and other network gear in this rack to provide the functionality that I need. The server rack does involve some construction, though minimal. It’s just a few screws to hold the plexiglass and metal pieces together for the outer shell. The manufacturer includes a nice selection of shelves, screws, and other accessories to help you outfit the interior, but the design of the inside will be up to the individual user. You can choose to use cage nuts or screw directly to the rack, depending on which way you orient the front of the rack. Choose which you like on the front, but then the back side will be the other option. There’s no way to make both back and front cage nuts or vice versa. It might be nice to have the option but I’m satisfied with the manufacturer’s design since the majority of the screws are placed in the front of the rack and I can at least choose which direction that is.One of the accessories is a raspberry pi mount. It’s probably not the most efficient way to mount 2 raspberry pies into 1U but its a nice addition and more than the basic shelf.Overall, I really like this setup. It provides a good bit of flexibility in a compact 10″ format, plus alleviates my wifi signal issues. It’s well constructed, well designed, and comes with enough accessories to give you a good start at populating the interior.
