Does not do what it claims to do
This is not the product I thought I was buying. This product does not do what it purports to do. I am amazed Amazon is allowing this company to sell in its space.I own a guest house with 10 rooms. I wanted (and still want) to limit internet access to my guests and be able to close off the internet to those guests who abuse our free wireless offering. The ones that gobble up bandwith via movie downloads and peer to peer exchanges. This product supposedly allows you to generate up to 1000 exclusive user codes, disconnect users and monitor access. It does not deliver on any of the above claims.First of all the single user codes are a joke, in my office I connected 3 computers with the same “single code” user and all three connected!!!Second, bandwith usage control? not possible with this product. This product only allows you to slow down connection speed to pre determined settings before you give out the codes. This is a useless feature: I would prefer to slow access after I notice a guest is hogging bandwith.Third, I tried to disconnect one of the computers I had used in my office to log into this system. I had to log out of the system, REBOOT the modem before I could get disconnect this computer… And the system froze on my second test… Also. Best feature? You have a code, but to check who is connected to your network, you need to match the MAC code to the random code this product offered you… USELESS!I cannot return this product because I kept it “wrapped” too long before testing it today for the first time, but I am writing this review to warn anyGIS-K1 Wireless Internet Hotspot gateway potential buyers out there: do not buy.

It does what it says. You can control internet access, but it doesn’t do more at all. Creating a custom log in screen was very limited and difficult to do. If you want this for commercial use, and want to be able to really apply the branding you want, I would recommend going for a different product.

Easy to install, powerful radio, highly configurable with capture portal. Great price, I installed 5 in a small hotel and they work like a charm.

wonderful item I used it in my Subway restaurant at East Boston all my customers are satisfied and happy also I used my store site as a main page when you log in offering my customers to know about the store deals and what is new in the menue.

Give your customers WiFi
I like this product. I was able to give my customers “free” access to the internet. The sign of “Free WiFi” was certainly a draw. It was easy to set up, and they helped me to customize my customer’s access to the web.
